Just 20 km south of Moshi, Namalok Nature Reserve is a peaceful natural area with beautiful landscapes and wonderful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The reserve covers about 4,600 hectares and has been protected since 2004. It provides a safe home for many birds, wildlife, trees, and plants, while helping to protect the area from poaching, illegal tree cutting, charcoal making, and overgrazing.
What You Can Experience
Namalok is a great place for nature and bird lovers. More than 300 bird species have been recorded in the reserve. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, nature walks, and wildlife viewing while enjoying the beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro. A visit to Namalok offers a quiet and authentic nature experience close to Moshi, combining wildlife, birdwatching, conservation, and beautiful scenery.
Tour Itinerary
2:30 PM – Scenic Departure from Moshi
Drive from Moshi to Namalok Nature Reserve. Upon arrival, register at the entrance gate and begin your nature and wildlife experience. Spend time exploring the reserve, enjoying the scenery, watching birds, and looking for wildlife. After the visit, drive back to Moshi and return to your accommodation.
