Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to visit Tanzania for safari?

The best time to go on safari in Tanzania is generally during the dry season, from June to October. The drier weather makes it easier to track wildlife as vegetation is thinner and higher concentrations of game congregate around permanent waterholes. However, we offer exceptional experiences year-round, with each season providing unique advantages—wet season offers fewer crowds and spectacular bird migration.

Proof of yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers arriving from countries where the disease is endemic, including 12+ hour airport transit and layovers. Hepatitis A vaccine requires two doses, with the second dose administered 6-12 months after the first. We recommend consulting your doctor 4-6 weeks before travel for a complete health assessment.

Safari costs vary significantly based on accommodation level, group size, and duration. Inflation, shifts in global economic patterns, and changes in tourism industry operations are some of the variables that cause these changes in Tanzania Travel Costs 2025. Our safaris range from $200-$800 per person per day, with private experiences starting at $400 daily.

Tanzania maintains excellent safety standards for tourists.  Our guides are trained in wilderness first aid and emergency protocols.

Bring insect repellent and sunscreen for the trip. You’re heading to a country just south of the Equator, and so it can get very hot. Pack lightweight, neutral colored clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and a good camera with extra batteries.

All visitors to Zanzibar (excluding residents) must have mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC) for the duration of their stay (up to 92 days).
For mainland Tanzania, comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended and required.
